Kitchen & laundry glass

Glass Splashbacks

A glass splashback is one seamless, wipe-clean surface with no grout lines. We measure the kitchen on site, template around the cooktop, power points and rangehood, and make the toughened glass to fit.

Scope

What this job includes.

  • Toughened glass splashbacks for kitchens, laundries and bathrooms
  • Any colour matched to your cabinetry, or a printed image or pattern behind the glass
  • Templated on site around cooktops, power points and tap penetrations
  • Toughened to AS 1288 to take the heat behind a cooktop, supplied and installed
Our system: Splashback glass behind a cooktop must be toughened so it takes the heat without cracking. We template the cut-outs on site so the points and the cooktop line up the first time.
How we quote it

A fixed price per pane, in writing.

We measure the opening on site, name the glass grade the Standard calls for, and fix the price per pane before we order. No callout fee bolted on after, no 'from' price that grows.

The 7-line quote
  1. 1 A qualified glazier answers, 24/7. Day or night, you speak to the glazier who will do the work, not a call centre that takes a message and hopes someone rings back.
  2. 2 Same-day board-up. We secure and weatherproof the opening today, so the home or shop is safe overnight while the new glass is made to size.
  3. 3 Measured on site, made to size. The opening is measured on site and the glass cut to fit it, toughened or laminated to AS 1288 where the standard calls for safety glass. Never a stock panel forced into an opening it was not cut for.
  4. 4 A fixed price per pane, in writing. The price for each pane, the glass, the labour and the board-up, fixed in writing before we order. No callout fee bolted on after, no "from" price that grows once the job is booked.
If a quote doesn’t show these lines, you can’t compare it, and you don’t know what’s been cut.
How it runs

What happens, step by step.

1

Call a real glazier, 24/7

Tell us what is broken and send a photo. A qualified glazier picks up, day or night, and gives you a price for the pane over the phone.

2

Same-day board-up

We secure and weatherproof the opening today, so the home or shop is safe and dry while the new glass is made to measure.

3

Measured and made to size

We measure the opening on site and make the glass to fit it, toughened or laminated to AS 1288 where the standard calls for safety glass.

4

Fitted on a named day

We come back, fit the made-to-measure glass on the day we promised, clean up and take the boards away.

5

Backed in writing

A lifetime workmanship guarantee on the install, and the glass to Australian Standard, named on the invoice.

Insured, covered, guaranteed

The paperwork behind the price.

Public liability to $20M, and a Lifetime workmanship guarantee, all in writing, all on request.

We carry a NSW contractor licence and public liability cover to $20M, and we glaze to AS 1288 so the safety glass an opening needs is the glass that goes in, with the grade named on the invoice. The install is backed by a lifetime workmanship guarantee in writing. Ask us for the licence and the glass grade before you pay a deposit.

The cover, the guarantee, and how to check each one.

Questions, answered

Glass Splashbacks: common questions.

Can a glass splashback match my exact colour?
Yes. We can colour the back of the glass to match your cabinetry, benchtop or a paint colour, or print an image or pattern behind it. You see a sample before we make it, and the colour is sealed behind toughened glass so it stays put and wipes clean.
Is glass safe behind a gas cooktop?
Toughened glass is, and that is what we use behind cooktops. It is heat-treated to take the heat a cooktop throws and to break safely if it ever does. We make every splashback in toughened glass to AS 1288 and check the clearances for your cooktop.
