Safety glass to the Standard, in writing, before we fit

The glass grade, the licence, and the cover, all named up front.

Required by Standard

Glazed to AS 1288

Where the glass is in a door, a full-height side panel, a low window or a wet area, AS 1288 requires Grade A safety glass, toughened or laminated. We spec it to the Standard and name the grade on the quote. A cheap quote that fits ordinary float glass leaves you with a hazard.

“A rock came through our front window at 9pm and Daniel answered straight away. He had it boarded up within the hour and the new toughened pane in two days. Told me the price for the pane before he came and it did not move. Could not ask for more.”

“Our double-glazed lounge window had gone foggy for years and we thought we needed new windows. Paneline measured it and made a new sealed unit to fit the frame we already had. Half the price of a new window and you can see straight through it again.”

“Frameless shower screen and it is spotless. Sophie measured after the tiler finished and you can tell, it seals perfectly with no silicone smeared everywhere. The 10mm glass feels solid. Fixed quote, fitted on the day they said.”

“Shopfront got smashed overnight and I was panicking about the shop opening. They boarded it up before 7am and re-glazed it in laminated glass after hours so we never lost a trading day. Sorted the photos for the insurance too.”

“Coloured glass splashback in the kitchen and it has lifted the whole room. They templated around the power points and the cooktop so everything lined up first go. Matched the colour to our cabinets exactly. Wipes clean in a second.”

“Cracked sliding door pane, ground floor, with two little kids in the house. They upgraded it to safety glass and explained why it mattered without any pressure. Real glazier, real advice. Booked, made and fitted within the week.”

“Wall of mirror in the home gym, cut to fit around the power points and a light switch. Bevelled edges, safety backed, dead level. Daniel measured it himself and the finish is better than the showroom quote I had.”

“Office partition glass after a break-in. They made the building secure that morning and re-glazed to spec the same week, worked in with the strata manager and the cleaners. Tidy, professional, no fuss.”

“Called three glaziers after a window broke and Paneline was the only one where an actual glazier answered instead of a call centre. Honest price, came when he said, and the new pane is perfect. This is who I will call from now on.”

“Replaced the mirrored doors on our built-in robes and re-glazed the bathroom mirror while they were here. Made to measure, hung perfectly, run smooth and quiet. Good honest crew, fair price, cleaned up after themselves.”

When the glass goes

A 24/7 promise a real glazier actually keeps.

What "24/7 emergency glazier" means when we say it, and the run-around it means when a call centre does.

Our response promise
  1. 1A qualified glazier answers, 24/7.You speak to the person who will do the work, day or night. Not a call centre taking a message.
  2. 2Same-day board-up.We secure and weatherproof the opening today, so the home or shop is safe while the glass is made to size.
  3. 3Measured on site, made to size. The opening is measured on site and the glass cut to fit, toughened or laminated to AS 1288 where the standard requires safety glass.
  4. 4A fixed price per pane, in writing.Glass, labour and the board-up, fixed per pane before we order. No callout fee bolted on after.
  5. 5Fitted back on a named day.We come back, fit the made-to-measure glass on the day we promised, clean up and take the boards away.
If a glazier cannot tell you the price per pane and the day they will fit it, you are buying a "we will get to it", not a job.

What we promise

  • A qualified glazier answers the phone, 24/7
  • Same-day board-up so the opening is secure tonight
  • Glass measured on site and cut to the exact opening
  • Toughened or laminated to AS 1288 where safety glass is required
  • A fixed price per pane in writing before we order

The run-around

  • A call centre takes a message and someone "might" call back
  • "We will get to it" while the opening stays open overnight
  • A stock panel forced into an opening it was never cut for
  • Ordinary float glass where the standard calls for safety glass
  • A "from" price that grows, and a callout fee sprung on the quote
Watch this before you book

The questions every customer asks, answered once.

Do you really have a glazier on call 24/7?
Yes. When you ring our emergency line, a qualified glazier answers, day or night, not a call centre that takes a message and hopes someone rings back. You speak to the person who will board up the opening and fit the glass, and you get a price for the pane before we come.
How fast can you board up a broken window or shopfront?
We aim for a same-day board-up across Western Sydney, and often within the hour for a smashed shopfront or an open ground-floor window. We secure and weatherproof the opening first so the home or shop is safe, then measure for the made-to-measure glass and book the fit on a named day.
How much does it cost to replace a pane of glass?
A standard window pane made to measure usually runs about $180 to $450 supplied and fitted, and toughened or laminated safety glass to AS 1288 about $320 to $750 a pane, depending on the size, the grade and the access. We measure on site and fix the price per pane in writing before we order, with any after-hours charge named up front, never a callout fee sprung on the quote.
When does the glass legally have to be safety glass?
Where the glass sits in a door, a full-height side panel, a low window near the floor, or a wet area like a shower, AS 1288 requires Grade A safety glass, toughened or laminated. We spec it to the Standard and name the grade on the quote. A cheap quote that fits ordinary float glass where safety glass belongs leaves you with a hazard, so always ask what grade is going in.
Can you fix a foggy double-glazed window without replacing the whole window?
Usually yes. A foggy window means the seal on the double-glazed unit has failed and moisture is trapped between the panes. We measure the unit and make a new sealed unit to the same size, then fit it into your existing frame. You keep the frame and get the clarity and insulation back, for far less than a whole new window.
Are you licensed and insured, and which areas do you cover?
Yes. We hold a NSW contractor licence and public liability insurance to $20M, we are an AGWA member, and we glaze to AS 1288. We cover Parramatta and the surrounding Western Sydney suburbs through to the Inner West, with no travel surcharge inside our service radius. Always ask to see the licence and the glass grade before anyone fits glass.
